SAUL GRAYSON

Saul Grayson | Sol GraysonSAUL GRAYSON graduated from Fremont High School in South Los Angeles, CA in 1944. He was valedictorian of his graduating class and also the student graduation speaker. He then enrolled in the University of Southern California where he studied until he entered the Army. Upon discharge from the Army, SAUL transferred to UCLA, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He then applied for admission to the first class at the new UCLA School of Law.  He is proud that out of more than 5,000 applicants to the law school, he was one of only 54 students to be admitted. SAUL was president of his law school graduating class in 1952, and he was admitted to the State Bar of California in January, 1953.

After his first 5 years working for a top law firm as a Los Angeles auto accident attorney, SAUL started his own firm and since that time has always been a principle in his own law firm with other partners and law associates. In 1984, he formed the law partnership, GRAYSON & GRAYSON, with his son, MARK, who was admitted to the California State Bar in 1981. From the inception of the firm in 1984 until SAUL’S semiretirement 19 years later in 2003, MARK acted as the managing partner.

SAUL’S legal career of more than 50 years has been devoted entirely to the field of personal injury, representing injured victims. His goal was to always fully satisfy clients through personal attention and maximum settlements. It is a testament to his success that GRAYSON & GRAYSON, to this day, still gets referrals from clients and families, or their offspring, some of whom SAUL represented as many as 50 years ago.

During his career, SAUL devoted a great deal of his time to the resolution of claims through arbitration or mediation. For more than 35 years, he was a court-appointed or privately selected arbitrator/mediator. In addition, he was a panel member/ lecturer for the American Arbitration Association, as well as a member of its Arbitrator Selection Committee. SAUL was also a member of Judicate West, which is a private organization consisting primarily of retired judges and a very few select private Los Angeles personal injury attorneys, retained to conduct arbitration/ mediation matters.

SAUL is still a member of the State Bar of California. In the past, he was a member of the American Bar Association, the California Trial Lawyers Association, and the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association.
